Code, IllustrationA series of programmatic illustrations using visual advertising shown to the public and official documentation from the British Raj in India.
The visuals are meant to explore the relationship between the colonial power and its former subject, highlighting the difficulty of extracting what is Indian from what is British and the hidden incentives beneath each piece of progress.
The code uses a visual system of concealment and colors selected from images of India.
